A small company with onestubborn idea
SHUDHI began with a shelf of bathroom plastic and the realisation that almost none of it needed to be plastic at all. A toothbrush lasts three months. The handle lasts four hundred years.
So we went looking for makers already working in bamboo, copper, wood and coir, and built a catalogue around what they do well rather than around what ships cheapest.
- Started in 2023, from one bamboo toothbrush
- Nine artisan workshops across four states
- Every order packed in paper, never plastic
What we believe
-
Materials before marketing
If a material cannot go back into the earth, we do not ship it. That rule decides the catalogue before anything else does.
-
Made by people we know
Every product comes from a workshop we have visited, at a price we agreed with the person who makes it.
-
Packaging is part of the product
Paper tape, moulded pulp, no bubble wrap and no plastic filler. The box composts with the brush.
-
Built to be replaced rarely
A swap only counts if it lasts. We would rather sell you one comb for ten years than ten combs for one.
